Community Meals

All are welcome.

Each week, we serve healthy, homemade meals to guests in the dining hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church and Edwards Church in Northampton, MA. Meals are offered Monday to Friday from 11:30AM to 12:30PM and available to anyone who enters the door regardless of housing or financial status. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared and served buffet style by our staff and volunteers, and vegetarian options are available. Before or after each meal, guests can access additional services provided in our Community and Resource Center, or depending on the day, one of our partners.

FAQs

Who is eligible for a meal at Manna?

Anyone, regardless of economic or housing status, is welcome to have a meal at Manna. There are no eligibility requirements of any kind.

What types of meals are served?

We are committed to providing nourishing meals that are made daily with whole ingredients including fresh fruit and vegetables. Most days, we offer a main course, side dish, salad, and light dessert.

How many meals do you serve each day?

On average, we serve over 200 meals per day to guests who mostly enjoy them on-site. We also provide the food for local shelters.

Do you accept food donations?

Due to limited storage space and the volume of meals we prepare each day we typically do not accept canned goods or perishable items in small quantities. If you’re interested in making a food donation to supplement a meal, please contact our kitchen staff here.

How can I help?

Thank you for your interest! We can always use a hand in the kitchen with meal prep or dishwashing, during meals greeting and serving guests, packing up food to go, or helping to clean up afterwards. If you’re interested, you can sign up here, or if you have more questions about volunteer work, please contact us here.
